When the climate changes our lives
2024 was the warmest year since climate records began. But what impact will this have on our lives – and how can we respond? At the lecture at Schloss Kapfenstein, weather expert Alexander Podesser will present the new Styrian climate atlas and discuss adaptation strategies with leading experts from science, agriculture and forestry. Special emphasis will be placed on soil health, viticulture and innovative solutions for dealing with climatic stress situations.
One highlight is the presentation of the HydroSheepBoost research project, which is being developed jointly with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, IFA Tulln and Graz University of Technology. The aim is to create innovative approaches to water storage and fertilization. Green Legacy is one of the main organizers of this conference as part of the project funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and will present the latest research results.
In addition to the specialist presentations, visitors can look forward to a book presentation: “Back to Nature with Hanni”, which shows inspiring examples of sustainable work with plants and food. Science & Business information stands will provide further insights into current research projects.

Please note the new date!
