Simple. Practical. Effective.
After intensive development, Green Legacy presents its new product: Polygrain Tab 5 – the proven water-retaining granules now as a handy tablet. It is particularly easy to use. This brings many advantages, especially in difficult terrain such as steep slopes.
Protect plants – even on steep terrain
In alpine regions, trees are more than just part of nature. They protect against erosion, rockfall, landslides and avalanches. So-called protective forests are particularly important on slopes of over 35%. In Tyrol, around 70 % of forests are considered to be such and more than 90 % of the province’s area is located in torrent or avalanche catchment areas.
Reforestation in these zones is time-consuming. Steep, slippery slopes, high physical strain, risk of falling and a lack of machinery make the work difficult. Polygrain Tab 5 offers a simple solution here, as the tablets are placed directly at the root – without measuring, without loose granules. This saves time, avoids errors and reduces the workload for those carrying out the work.
Same effect, new shape
Like classic Polygrain, the tabs store up to 200 times their weight in water. They contain cellulose and a starter fertilizer that is released as required. Especially on dry, stony soils – such as those found at high altitudes – this helps to ensure reliable growth and reduces the failure rate. The maintenance effort is also reduced. Polygrain Tab 5 is effective for up to five years and is biodegradable.
Real progress for the practice
“The development of Polygrain Tab 5 was an important step for us,” says Managing Director Enrique Nacif.
“We wanted a solution that would really help even under extreme conditions.”
Green Legacy is thus setting new standards: for sustainable forestry, soil-conserving methods and a climate-friendly future.
